JKL Partners Founder – Joan Lucarelli

Joan has spent the last 20 year bringing human capital to a variety of organizations.  She has placed over 350+ candidates in client companies. Her practice includes executive search and consulting for talent acquisition, assessment, and corporate and strategic alignment to strategy and mission.

Prior to joining the executive search profession, Joan enjoyed a successful career in the financial services and consulting.  She created new markets in the leasing business, in Banking she was responsible for a sales and service organizational change of a $3.5+B institution.

In addition to her corporate and executive search experience, she has served on the boards of and worked with a number of not for profit institutions on the alignment and execution of turnaround strategies and their transition to professional leadership while maintaining the integrity of the organization’s mission and values.

Prior to founding JKL Partners, Joan pioneered the expansion of two top US based search firms into New England.

At JKL Partners, Joan conducts executive search assignments both domestically and internationally and consults for a wide range of private and public companies, institutions of higher education, and not for profit organizations. Her executive search practice focuses primarily on strategic and executive hires, diversity, and cultural and organizational alignment. Her consulting practice focuses on mission-based organizations that impact positive change in the world. Examples of clients include: Monitor Group, NCR, AT&T, Fidelity, IDG/IDC, DRI, Telstra, Webline Communications/Oracle, GS1, Abt Associates, Oxfam America, Dynamics Research, Avaya, among others. Examples of assignments include: CEO/President, Executive Director, Director of Development, Board member,
CFO, COO, Provost, Head of Microfinance, VP Sales and Marketing, Global Staffing Manager, Major Gift Officer, Dean, Endowed Chair, among others.

Joan holds an AB in Economics from Regis College and a Masters of Finance, Bentley University and was an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at Boston University, Graduate School of Management and an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Bentley University, McCallum Graduate School of Business.

She serves/has served on a number of Board of Directors including multiple not for profit institutions and several private and family boards. She has been a keynote and guest speaker at a number industry events and a guest lecturer at Harvard Kennedy School, John F. Kennedy School of Government and MIT, among other institutions of higher education.

Joan is married and resides with her husband in Wellfleet, Massachusetts and Delray Beach, Florida. Joan spends her free time enjoying her grandchildren, playing golf, tennis, and fishing / boating with her family.
